Inside the Build: LEGO One Piece 75636 – Windmill Village Hut

Following up from our first look post, we’re ready to dive into the build itself. At only 299 pieces, the Windmill Village Hut comes together easily and doesn’t take long to complete, while still offering an enjoyable build for all ages. Most builders can expect to complete it in 1–2 hours, depending on how quickly one moves through the steps.

Build Overview

The build starts with the base of Makino’s Partys Bar and the small wooden pier. Once the base is in place, the interior details come together — shelves, stools, and the bar counter itself. The "Partys" sticker makes the scene feel alive and already somewhat One Piece-y (a term we're hoping to make official!).

Finally, the roof is added. It’s designed to lift off in one piece (pun intended!) giving full access to the interior while completing the exterior look.

Difficulty Rating

The set is designed for ages 8+, and we’d rate it 1 out of 5 Straw Hats for difficulty.

Most of the build is simple and flows quickly. Younger builders may need help with a couple of trickier pieces and with the stickers, but otherwise it can be completed with relative ease.

Bonus Feature: The Wanted Posters Board

In our previous post, we hinted at a little surprise inside — and here it is. The Windmill Village Hut includes a Wanted Posters Board, a playful feature that will tie our LEGO One Piece collection together. Any unique posters we discover in future sets can be added in, turning it into a growing display — with the hope of collecting all eight by the end of our East Blue LEGO adventure.

Our first find was Luffy’s debut Wanted Poster — the famous 30 million berry bounty. It truly felt like the start of an adventure — and yes, Usopp is photobombing the scene here too!

What’s Next

With the build wrapped up, we’ll now turn to the minifigures — Young Luffy, Shanks, and Makino — and see how LEGO has brought these characters to life. Stay tuned, as we’ll also be sharing our final review of the Windmill Village Hut.
